Freesbe

For field and shift teams

Built for people who aren't at a desk.

Freesbe gives field and shift teams a punch clock, a phone app for iPhone and Android with channels, DMs, huddles and push notifications, calls that ring every device and move between them, a status that clears itself when the shift ends, and a phone number that rings up to 20 people at once.

Home in the mobile app: the Northwind Traders workspace with its channels, a huddle in #sales and direct messages

Clock in, take a break, clock out

People covered by the punch clock get a card in the sidebar and the desktop app's tray menu: Clock in, Break, Back to work, Clock out. Admins see who's working or on break right now, set overtime per day and per week, and export CSV for payroll. A shift that runs past midnight counts toward the day it started.

The same workspace in a pocket

The phone app has your channels, DMs, threads, Activity, search, to-dos and status. Photos go straight from the camera into the channel, files and PDFs open on the phone, and alerts from other tools show as the same cards as on a computer. Your phone gets a notification only while you aren't using Freesbe somewhere else.

  • Sign in by scanning a QR code from the computer, with nothing to type
  • Quiet mode stops notifications on every device for the hours you pick
  • Follows the phone's language and dark mode

Calls that ring everywhere, and move with you

A huddle in a DM rings the other person on their laptop, browser and phone at once, and declining on one stops the others. Started a call at the desk and need to walk? Open Freesbe on the phone and tap Join here: the call moves over without a drop. On Android a call keeps going while you switch to another app.

A status that clears itself

On the road, lunch break, off sick: pick a status and when it should go away, from 30 minutes to the end of the week. Freesbe sets you to away after ten minutes without using it, and a workflow can set someone's status for them. Teammates see your local time next to your name.

One number for the whole crew

A number on the phone system from Freesbe can ring up to 20 people at once; the first to answer takes the call. Business hours and closed days send the rest to voicemail, which arrives in Freesbe as a message with the recording. When someone calls 911 from Freesbe, the people you choose hear about it right away.

Questions

Is the phone app available?
The iPhone and Android apps are in testing and aren't in the App Store or Google Play yet. What's new will say when you can download them. Until then, Freesbe works in the phone's browser.
Can people clock in from the phone?
The clock card is in the sidebar of the web and desktop apps and in the desktop app's tray menu. Workflows can also start when someone clocks in or out, for example to post a reminder.
Do calls work on a bad connection?
Freesbe keeps the sound first: on a weak connection it pauses other people's cameras and sends yours smaller, and a dropped connection reconnects for up to 30 seconds. The phone app does the same moving between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
Can a text to our number reach the team?
Yes. Texts to a Freesbe number land in a channel, one thread per customer, and replies go back as texts. In the US a number needs its business texting registration first.
